Snowy Owl at Fern Ridge.

A lone Snowy Owl has made it down to Eugene and has been hanging out at Fern Ridge Reservoir. I was given some tips from a volunteer at the local Raptor center on times and where to look, they payed off. At first the owl appeared as a small ball of fur on the far corner of Tern Island, as I crept closer he/she made himself/herself more visible. At this point I felt time was limited before the owl took off. I was able to get within 25 yards before the owl looked around and flew into the tree line.

Photographing an owl has been on my wildlife bucket list for sometime. Needless to say I was excited to catch a glimpse of this amazing creature and capture a couple shots along the way.
